ok I think Clyde changed the label of the sleeping tablets and put in something that would kill her. The brush was dipped in turpintine and she used it with her makeup and thus burned her skin when applying so ran outside to the beach to try to stop the burning but the pill took effect and she dropped dead.

a(ok I know I have a vivid imagination but it sounds good)
I hope to see the answer when on next but that may be next Monday when i get back to Vancouver.

Maybe Ausjenny has is but if not, later, when someone solves it, I'm sure I'll think OH YEAH I get it now.

Um Bonnie is dead. Clyde used a paint brush to change the label on the sleeping pills so Bonnie...took half a bottle? Honeslty if Bonnie's that dumb she deserves to die.

So, ummmm just to kick off the creative juices...Bonnie is a flashlight?
Clyde left it on the beach turned on and the battery went dead?

No, silly.
Um...Bonnie is a car with the lights left on...gone dead.
But why would the police arrest Clyde for murder? Of a car? Ticket him for illegal parking maybe but not murder.
So, assuming Bonnie's a person, Clyde gave the half bottle of sleeping pills to a black cat. Painted a white stripe down it's back using the white paint and paint brush.
Bonnie is terrified of skunks so she ran into the water and drowned, then washed back up on the beach.
But what about the label? And who got burned.
Bonnie is a cigarette.
oh forget it.

So maybe Clyde painted a poisonous pill covering the little imprint on it so that it resembled one of her sleeping pills. The poison would of course be caustic, which would account for the burning, but not immediate in its effect, and she ran from her hotel room looking for help before finally kicking the bucket.

Hmmm, ok I will give it a shot after a lot of thinking.

Clyde took a bottle of sleeping pills and used a fine artist brush (it never mentions what type of brush)and the white paint to replace the label with a label that said Pain Relievers. Bonnie must have had one huge headache so she kept taking the pills that didn't get rid of the headache but instead killed her. She was taking a walk out on the beach when she became so sleepy that she dropped and that is where she died.

Clyde also painted the pills so they they looked like white pain relievers and maybe the intake of pills burned her on the inside...LOL I don't know, but hey it sounds good.

This is fun but maybe i know why I stick to suspense and not mystery..hehehe.

Ah...ladies. So close! Don't fall asleep on the job, though. Keep guessing...You have until Friday to come up with the answer.

Yes, there's a clue in there somewhere (grins)

Okay, okay I think I got it. Clyde tampered with the label on the sleeping pills. Bonnie took them thinking she was taking something else. She went out to the beach to get some sun but then fell asleep and dies of heat stroke after burning up in the sun all day.
